The Central Baptist Diagnostic Center at Hamburg features the Espree Open Bore MRI.
“We are the first in the area to have an Espree Open Bore MRI,” said Bill Broaddus, Director of Radiology. “This equipment allows people who are claustrophobic to feel more at ease because of its wider opening and shorter length.” The shorter length allows over 60 percent of exams to be completed with the patient’s head outside of the bore.
The Espree Open Bore MRI, a product of Siemens, also has a higher field of strength than other "open" type MRI's, which means shorter scan times and more enhanced digital quality images. This leading-edge technology also provides up to four times more signal-to-noise ratio over traditional open MRI’s allowing any size patient to receive the same quality medical care.
